Question
Is a log file created during a transient simulation that can be used to investigate a Flownex crash? If Flownex experiences a hard crash during a simulation, is there any recorded information that can help determine what occurred before the crash?
Answer
Flownex does not create a dedicated crash log specifically for transient simulations. However, within the project folder there is a CmdRec folder that contains text files recording changes made to the network. These files can be useful when investigating a crash, particularly if changes were made manually during a transient simulation.
By reviewing the files in the CmdRec folder, users may be able to identify actions, parameter modifications, or configuration changes that occurred prior to the crash. This information can assist in troubleshooting and help determine whether a specific network modification contributed to the issue.
