How can a user create a custom mixed fluid in Flownex? What types of fluid mixtures are supported, and what steps are required to configure the mixture and assign it to a network?
Flownex allows users to create custom fluid mixtures for a wide range of applications. Supported mixture types include gas mixtures, liquid mixtures, two-phase fluid and gas mixtures, particle-liquid mixtures (slurries), and gas-liquid mixtures. Flownex also supports creating mixtures of existing mixtures, allowing complex fluid compositions to be defined.
To create a mixed fluid, the user opens the Charts and Lookup Tables library and navigates to Materials and Fluids within the Project Database. A new category can then be created under Mixed Fluids, followed by the creation of a new mixed fluid. After creating the fluid, the user edits its properties, selects the desired mixture type, and specifies the fluids that make up the mixture. The appropriate conductivity and viscosity mixing methods can then be selected, and a background fluid must be defined as the primary fluid in the mixture.
