This webinar introduces the enhanced integration between Flownex and ANSYS Mechanical, enabling coupled flow and thermal simulations through automated heat transfer data exchange. New tools, including the Flownex Network Builder and Flow Solver Coupling, allow users to create flow networks directly from CAD geometry, automatically extracting geometric parameters and assigning convection surfaces. Once exported to Flownex, the network can be solved alongside ANSYS Mechanical, with heat transfer coefficients, fluid temperatures, and wall temperatures exchanged automatically between the two software packages. The coupled workflow simplifies the setup of complex applications such as turbine secondary air systems and detailed thermal analyses while maintaining accurate interaction between fluid and solid domains. The integration also supports complex 3D models, such as turbine combustor injectors, delivering detailed flow and temperature results with very short solution times that support efficient design optimization.
