Bug 4321 describes an error in the Nuclear Reactor element where the secondary loss factor is incorrectly applied to each increment in a zone, causing the zone pressure loss to multiply by the number of increments. The issue is fixed in version 8.12.8.4472. The workaround is to divide the total loss coefficient by the number of increments used.

Bugzilla Error Number | BUG 4321 |
Description of Error | Nuclear element incremented secondary loss factor |
Comments | In the Nuclear Reactor element, when a zone is incremented (specifically tested on the vertical cavity) the specified secondary loss factor is applied to each increment, in stead of being distributed over the zone. The zone pressure loss result is therefore multiplied by the number of increments. |

Workaround Description: Provide the loss coefficient on a per increment basis by dividing the total loss coefficient by the number of increments currently used. |
